Integral Studies is a path of self development that integrates art, science and meditation into a potent tool for realising a future ecology.
Artistic practice and meditative exercises based on the work of the German poet Goethe and elaborated by Rudolf Steiner form the basis of this unique investigation into the spiritual in nature.
The course begins with an exploration of the idea of the human form as a key to understanding the world of animals and the structure of the earth. We will discover Goethe’s law of metamorphosis in many life processes including child development.
The aim of the course is to develop a language by which we can apprehend nature. We will come to see the earth as a living being whose laws can be understood and applied in practical realms such as agriculture.
To deepen our insights we will work continuously with sculpture, painting and creative writing. Through these artistic exercises the whole human being is engaged in a living process of learning.
No previous artistic experience is necessary.
